The mints producing the Morgan Dollar were the Carson City (Nevada) (CC), Denver (D), New Orleans (O), San Francisco (S), and Philadelphia. Those dollars with no letter for the mint were minted in Philadelphia.
The obverse of the Morgan Dollar depicts an image of Lady Liberty with the date at the bottom and the words E PLURIBUS UNUM in an arc above her head with stars filling the space between the words and the date.
The reverse shows an image of an eagle with wings spread and the words IN GOD WE TRUST between his wings and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA in an arc above.
The Morgan Dollar contains .7734 troy ounces of silver. They are 90% silver and 10% copper.
